Easter Egg Salad

It’s our tradition to use hard-boiled eggs for decorating for Easter, and then we use them a day or so later to make egg salad.  It’s a nice way to make sure the eggs don’t hang around too long, and we get to enjoy a once-a-year treat (the recipe I use is delicious, but it doesn’t get much unhealthier than all those eggs, mayonnaise, and bacon!)  I took a few last pictures of Brian’s eggs before making the egg salad this year.  (I’m still really irritated...

Easter Sunday

Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter Eggs!

Today started our long weekend together at home for Easter break.  We’ve been enjoying putting up some decorations, like a felt egg garland in the kitchen, and Brian has been going to town decorating some foam easter egg shapes with stickers!  I’d bought him some “hatching egg” toys, which have a mystery baby animal toy inside that emerges after soaking the egg in water for a few days.  Brian chose the green egg, and we put it in a vase.  We’ll watch it over the...
