Happy Easter! We sure had an amazing Easter this year. We started off the day with a breakfast of red velvet pancakes! Yum. Brian was excited to see that his egg had hatched and a cute little duckling was inside! Then, it was off to open presents. We probably overdid it this year, in fact, I’m sure of it..! There is just too much cute stuff out there. 🙂 Kendall got some Duplos that include a brown and white bunny and some cute toy eggs, which peep (in a quiet analog way–no batteries!) and let you practice colors and shapes. She really got into those. Brian got some Star Wars toys, including an X-wing, TIE fighter, and an AT-AT. Kendall really liked the AT-AT, spending as much time with that as she did with the eggs! The kids sampled just a bit of their candy (but they didn’t even find the bulk of it this morning, they were playing so much!)
After a quick nap, we were off to Grandpa Steve and Grandma Sue’s house. The kids brought a few of their toys and enjoyed playing with the grandparents! Grandma Sue had a nice meal prepared for us, and afterward, it was back to playtime! Grandma’s Legos were a big hit as usual, and the kids made some cool creations. They were not interested in sitting nicely together for a picture, due to a serious case of the silly wiggles, but I got some cute ones anyway. Brian had made them an Easter egg card, and Grandma Sue showed Brian that she really did keep a leaf that he’d found and asked her to keep. (Aww!) The kids got even more presents, and we shared a strawberry cake!
When we got back home, the kids went through the rest of their Easter baskets and shared some candy. Brian thought the giant chocolate dinosaur egg (with tiny dinosaur chocolates inside) was pretty cool, and Kendall liked her peekaboo bunny that can hide inside a carrot. Kendall tried her first Peeps and I think she was a fan! All in all, we had a wonderful family day together.

Great Easter photos. The little stuffed rabbits and Peeps are so cute, Brian and Kendall’s outfits so nice for Easter and springtime.
