Crabtown Showdown, 1
After the great success of the road game in Greenville, Brian was asked by the Surge travel team coaches if he’d be interested in joining the program. Between the fun in the game, the travel, and hanging out with the boys, he immediately wanted to do it. I was apprehensive about it as we really didn’t want to add another obligation to the family. Earlier in the year, there was an announcement that the Raleigh IcePlex would be creating a House Select Travel Program called “Raleigh Surge”. At the time, there was no indication they were going to create a U8 (Mite) program out of it. Every time Brian and I had been to a game and we saw the Mighty Mites, he always wanted to know when he could do it. I could never give him...

Later, we were off to the IcePlex for a Mite House League game. And, besides Nana Rosemary and Pake Sytse cheering Brian on, Ms....
