It’s a nice autumn Saturday and it starts with Kendall’s swim lessons followed by Brian’s Lowe’s Build and Grow Pullback Car Clinic. It’s kind of full-circle, as his very first build was a race car garage. This build is much more complicated, but Brian’s development in building made it easy enough for him to complete on his own.
Later, we were off to the IcePlex for a Mite House League game. And, besides Nana Rosemary and Pake Sytse cheering Brian on, Ms. Sarah Catherine (Brian’s Pre-K teacher for over two years!) joined in on the fun! That was a very special surprise.
In the evening we headed over to Grandma Sue’s house for a special Saturday dinner because we are going to be gone on Sunday for the Carolina Renaissance Festival. But, this allowed us the opportunity for me to make my slow-cooked ribs, a trick I learned about a year ago and has been quite the hit for a while. It’s generally very easy, and we get really good pork via our CSA, The Produce Box. Sue made the Mac and Cheese, which is always a big hit as well, as can be seen by Kendall’s reaction in the photos!
