Brian’s Battle
Occasionally, we really do have to pick up the house, and as much as it pains Brian to have to take down his battles, it must be done. Today we had the cleaners coming by, and Brian made all of these signs and caution-tape-like signs around a battle he was particularly proud of. I took these pictures before having to pick it up, and despite his protests in the morning, he wasn’t upset at all this afternoon that it was picked up. Also included, a train layout that we also had to pick...
Read MoreBrian’s Star Wars Goalie Mask
Brian got a special surprise today: the Star Wars themed goalie mask he’d been wanting for ages! Brandon had gotten it for him after all (even though it was pretty expensive for what it is!) It was the design he picked, featuring Shock Troopers and a lot of hot lava, like on Mustafar. Brian also set up all his Star Wars figures on the play table, and um.. It’s pretty embarrassing how many he has! But he really does know who they all are and plays with them a...
Read MoreCutie Kendall, Brian’s Hockey
It’s Friday night, and that means Kendall and I have some girl time while the boys are out at Brian’s learn-to-play hockey class! Today she was surprised because we got a box from Gymboree, with a much softer Viking costume helmet for Brian (that I think he has a chance of actually wearing for more than 5 minutes on Halloween) and a Viking-helmet-like winter hat (just because it’s funny). Brian let her borrow Crocky this evening, and she seemed very happy about that. Also...
Read MoreBrian Painting
Brian is painting the alcove in the garage! We’re letting the kids have that area to be sort of a playhouse. We have grand plans to make it a really fun space for...
Read MoreBrian’s Picture Day
It was Brian’s picture today, and Kendall acted like she wanted to get in on the action! (For once!) Supposedly the photographer took one shot of her, but it wasn’t in the set once we made it to the ordering kiosk. Oh well. The kids found some new friends at the Disney area within JCPenny–a Sven reindeer (from Frozen) for Kendall, and a Crocky crocodile (from The Pirate Fairy) for Brian. Kendall also got some Frozen and Rapunzel toys as well, lucky girl! Afterward, we...
Read MoreBrian’s 7-year-old Portraits!
Brian’s 7-year-old portraits are here! He’s quite the charming fellow in his rugby shirt. 🙂 He also has some fun photos, featuring some of his hockey gear, and favorite friends–his Toothless dragon, and Commander Fluffy (who is wearing hockey gear, instead of his clone trooper...
