Third verse, same as the first! Another day of conference fun. Today there was a Women in Tech luncheon, and I laughed at the place settings when I sat down–salad and chocolate, for the ladies. Woohoo, Vegas!! Um, hardly, it’s work. 😉 Other than the bright lights at the keynote speeches this morning, it was a day of wall-to-wall conference, as I attended as many security-focused panels as I could fit into my day. There was a party again this evening, but we were disappointed that the food wasn’t as varied or as good as last year. The giant inflatable Buttercup Pony was back, though, so I had to take photos for the kiddos....

I’m off to Las Vegas again today, for this year’s Splunk conf, once again at the MGM Grand. I’m not speaking this year, so hopefully, I can relax and just learn a whole lot! The travel was uneventful, but I took photos for the kids to keep them updated. Brandon took the kids to Chick-Fil-A for dinner tonight, always a treat! For the past week, I’ve been in Nashville, attending a SANS information security training class. The class ran for a full seven days, from 9am until 7pm each day. We did get a lunch break and snacks in there, so it wasn’t inhumane or anything. 🙂 I don’t often travel alone, and I haven’t been away for this long before, but I think we all did pretty well with it. It’s mother’s day, and Brandon and the kids took me out for a nice brunch at McCormick & Schmick’s. The kids were.. mostly good, I guess. But let’s please do this at noon or later next time so Mommy can get a mimosa and maybe stress out less. 😉 My dad’s marker finally got placed, so I wanted to be sure and place some flowers there. After brunch, the fam tagged along as I bought some flowers and made an arrangement. We delivered it later this afternoon....
