We finally received our long-awaited pick-a-brick order from Lego.com–I’d had a plan for a Valentine surprise, but underestimated the shipping time for a custom order! But, even though it was late, Kendall and I had fun making a Lego rose and cute message to surprise the boys with after swimming lessons! I had also purchased some lightsaber elements, and Kendall thought those were just awesome! She made a quadruple-decker lightsaber and was quite proud of herself! We also opened up the kids’ grill and salad set–Kendall was pretty proud of her cheeseburgers! She also informed me that all of the grilled chicken was for her, not for me. (Oh, the “mines” with this one–she is so 2!) Brian was excited to see all the new bricks from our order, and made some cool creations of his own! Brian was pretty excited about the grill and salad set, too–he liked the wavy carrots, saying they are like the ones he gets at school sometimes. Later this afternoon, Nana watched the kids and helped them make some pretty amazing insect creations as an art project! Brian’s dragonfly and Kendall’s bumblebee were so fun to see in the pictures she texted me–but they’re even better in person! We appreciated the chance to get out for a bit, and got dinner at Irregardless Cafe. 🙂

I never noticed the pastel Legos before. Nice shot in the restaurant, Alison.
