Memorial Day!

We spent our Memorial Day relaxing at home, taking it easy for the most part.  We left the pool out overnight (whoops!) but today the kids had fun pretend-fishing and distributing the water all over the back yard today.  Kendall scared me, taking some flying leaps off the sandbox cover–but she wasn’t scared one bit!  The kids said they didn’t want to put on swimsuits and wouldn’t get too wet–but Miss K needed to change after a couple watering can mishaps!  I love her new “sunny citrus” outfits from Gymboree for this summer, but as you can see, Kendall has her own ideas about fashion!  She picked out the Darth Vader tee and frilly skirt combination, and wasn’t nearly as happy with my replacement outfit that actually matched. 😉  We enjoyed some frozen lemonade and limeade treats while we covered our driveway in chalk art of all sorts!  While we drew, Brandon was busy finishing up putting away the water toys and working in the garage some–when he came back, he was surprised by how prolific we were. 🙂
