Play-Doh, Time Capsule

Today, the kids had a great time playing with their Play-Doh.  Kendall was really proud of her new “Jedi in Training” t-shirt which features Ahsoka Tano and some cute clone troopers.  I thought she could wear this at Brian’s birthday party, but she insisted on going ahead and wearing it now! (Update:  she actually couldn’t wear it for his party, since she’d stained it horribly by the time his party came around just one week after this!)  Brian decided he wanted to make a time capsule today, so we said sure, and picked out one of his shoe boxes and let him go to town.  He decided he wanted to open it on Halloween, and decorated it accordingly.  We had a movie night tonight, and watched a Ghibli classic, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.  The kids seemed to really like it!

Isn’t Play-Doh fun? When Grandma was your age we made our own Play-Doh and put food coloring in it to create different colored dough. I have the recipe somewhere.
