It’s New Year’s Eve! The kids are suitably excited, pretending they are “jumping up and down in muddy puddles!” just like Peppa and George. Today, we had to let Grandpa Roger head back to Colorado, but before he left, we got in a little more funtime by riding bikes over at Root! After taking him to the airport, we played at the observation park for awhile, until we saw his plane safely take off. Back at home, Kendall received a surprise from Daddy–a pink Build and Grow toolset! Including her very own apron. She’s been wanting to build like Brian, and while she’s still a little bit too young to attend the sessions herself, she can go ahead and at least look the part! Evidently this toolbox was so popular, the stores sold out almost immediately–so we’re lucky to have snagged one. 🙂 It was nearing bedtime for Kendall, and we’re thinking she’s not quite old enough to try staying up.. So we took advantage of Netflix’s collusion with parents and showed her the King Julien countdown around 8pm, and enjoyed some sparkling apple juice together. 🙂 Brian did make it until the real ball drop/acorn drop, and we enjoyed some sparkling grape juice to ring in the new year.
