Kendall’s Radio

Kendall loves this toy radio, just like Brian did when it was his..!  I suppose it’s more of a baby toy, but, she still loves it.  It’s amusing to me, too, since it has a few different “genres” of music on it.  I like to imagine what artist they were copying when they made each song for the toy.  😉  Today I saw that she had discovered that the antenna raises and lowers–none of us had figured that out before!  Brian spun it around plenty when he was a baby, but, only Miss K had the wherewithal to actually pull and push it!  I was so surprised and proud of her.  Also included, a picture of my dad’s “radio”–his iPod and sound dock, which we listened to constantly during his last few days at home.  Somehow I found it comforting during that time to just sit with him and listen to his music, which was really quite diverse.  Rock, blues, shag, classical, jazz, gospel, pop…  All sorts of things that made me laugh and cry.  🙂
