Brian’s Heart (and his Angry Birds)

At school, it’s pretty common for the teachers to put up displays with the kids’ answers to questions, like their favorite food, favorite movie, etc.  Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, the kids all have hearts on the wall outside their classroom saying what they love.  I was so touched, Brian listed his family!  (Not all the kids listed such sweet, brag-worthy things for their hearts!  I am pretty proud of my kiddo for this!)   Brandon and I both noticed Brian’s heart and independently took photos of it, but Brandon managed to get Brian standing with it, and both kids in their raincoats today.

Also, I surprised Brian with these little Angry Birds Star Wars figures recently, and he is pretty enamored with the 3-D representations of his favorite app’s characters!  He had a fun time setting up some castles with his alphabet blocks, and using the included lightsaber slingshot to knock them down.  🙂  Kendall was rocking and rolling this evening, I’m not sure if it was the noise of avian destruction from next door or the pajamas..  But, she sure knows how to make some rock’n’roll faces!

Kendall “rocking out” and Brian with his angry birds, blocks & lightsaber slingshot are really cool – but it’s the heart that’s about to make :me cry. So, so sweet – that is definitely a “keeper.”

The heart photo is special. Is the last photo “photoshopped”?

Oh, it’s a photo of a laminated picture of Brian dressed up as a dragon on his classroom window. How meta is that?! 🙂 His class made construction paper animal costumes and the teachers took pictures and decorated the window with them. I’m thinking it was Chinese New Year-related.
