Pumpkins Concert
Tonight, Brandon and I escaped for a rare weeknight outing, having a nice dinner at Oro and then going to the Smashing Pumpkins concert at Red Hat Amphitheater! Huge thanks to Steve and Sue for picking up the kids from school, feeding them dinner, and treating them to a really fun night so that we could go out! I first saw the Smashing Pumpkins in concert 20 (gulp!) years ago, and it was nearly as long ago for Brandon. It’s fair to say they are Brandon’s all-time favorite band,...

May the 4th be with you! It’s Star Wars day, but Brian felt like playing a different game today–Just Dance 4! Brian learned about this series of games at school. At the end of the day when lessons are done and the kids need to get some energy out, the teachers sometimes show YouTube video captures of the game, and the kids get to dance along. I had been trying to finish up my pedicure for awhile, and eventually just did it while we were in the kitchen (the kids were contained and distracted, or so I thought!) Kendall noticed, though, and pointed and kept putting her feet out and protesting loudly that I wasn’t painting her...

Today was the Art Show at Goddard! Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, being stuck in a certification class this week. 🙁 Brandon was able to go, however, and managed to snap a few pictures! Instead of making a lot of themed artwork, this year Brian’s class made storyboard art, where they made up pictures and a story to go with it. Kendall had some animal stamps and some splatter art in her class’s art show. Everyone got to tour around and look at the different...
