Pajama Sunday
Sunday at home, perfect for the kids to enjoy having a pajama day. Brian started out the day with a cool block creation. Kendall was happy to receive some My Little Pony ornaments, which we added to the tree. I am still dealing with some issues post-surgery and not feeling so great, but with Brandon’s help, was able to make a big pot of our new favorite chicken stew (really, try that, y’all! It is simple and hearty and perfect.) The kids got to break the wish bone, and Brian...
Read MoreAdvent Calendar Fun
It’s December 1st, so that means the kids get to start their advent calendars! We were indecisive (read: easily swayed) and ended up with three different Lego Advent calendars: Lego City, Lego Star Wars, and Lego Friends! Lots of fun to go around, although it’s hard for the kids to resist going past day #1! Also included, pictures of Kendall, very excited going to school, and making her favorite after-school treat, chocolate...

We still haven’t replaced our tree or lights to have something more “normal”, so we had our rainbow tree again this year! We had a bunch of new ornaments, mostly for the kids–a Buttercup Fairy to remember Kendall’s birthday and Halloween costume, an Olaf and Queen Elsa from frozen, two different Hiccup and Toothless ornaments from How to Train Your Dragon, a turtle sandbox,...
Read MoreLet the holiday madness begin!
It’s the day after Thanksgiving, so it’s time to officially let the holiday madness begin! Today was extra special for us, as we took down all but the last remaining baby gate (at the top of the third-floor stairs). Kendall was in a Star Wars-y mood, so she wore her Princess Leia costume hoodie for awhile, and her Ahsoka t-shirt. We worked on our Christmas tree some, and the kids were happy to see some of their old friends come out of storage (especially those gingerbread kids!)...
