Pumpkins! Piano!
Today was a rainy day, but Kendall brightened it up with her sunny smile (and her Lego flashlight guy!) Brian was excited to have a Hurricanes hockey clinic during PE, and got this cool souvenir cup. Our Produce Box included a pair of decorate-your-pumpkin add-on kits for the kiddoes, so we let them decorate a couple small pumpkins this afternoon with the included foam stickers. Pretty cute! Today was Brian’s 6-year checkup at the pediatrician. He’s doing great, not having visited the doctor a single time in the past year! He’s growing well and very healthy. Let’s hope he keeps it up! The appointment meant that he got to arrive at school late, so we learned the late dropoff procedure, and got to deliver Brian straight to the cafeteria for lunch. It was fun to see him in his natural habitat! 😉 He likes buying his lunch, I guess it makes him feel grown...

We sure do love Halloween around here! We’re going all out with decorations, and Brian and I have gone a little crazy making pumpkin decorations for the past couple days! Today we attending Raleigh’s own International Festival! This is one of my favorite fall events, though with how packed our fall schedule inevitably is, we don’t always make it out. This year, bringing two mobile children to a packed and noisy convention center presented a new set of challenges. All in all, though, we had a great time. Today, we found ourselves invited to three different parties! Oh, these children and their social lives. 😉 We didn’t want them to miss out on anything, so, we decided to do split duty. Brandon took Brian to Nolan’s party in the morning, and Hayes’s party in the afternoon. I took Kendall to the Goddard block party which was in between the other two. It was a special night for Brian, with his skating lessons rescheduled for after school today, followed by a hockey night with Daddy! I picked up some Halloween craft supplies on the way home from work, and had a girls’ night with Kendall. I hung up some felt banners to surprise Brian, and Kendall thought I was pretty silly, climbing up to hang them on the blinds. Also: Kendall’s class made a handprint tree in fall colors, so cute!
