Hockey Night!

Hockey Night!

It was a special night for Brian, with his skating lessons rescheduled for after school today, followed by a hockey night with Daddy!  I picked up some Halloween craft supplies on the way home from work, and had a girls’ night with Kendall.  I hung up some felt banners to surprise Brian, and Kendall thought I was pretty silly, climbing up to hang them on the blinds.  Also:  Kendall’s class made a handprint tree in fall colors, so cute!  And, some pics of the kids playing Legos before school today.  Brian really liked the monochrome builds at the Lego Kids Fest, and wanted to do something like that.. So I scoured eBay and BrickLink for some purple bricks (they are waaaay harder to find for a reasonable price than you’d think–it’s such a rare color!)  Brian made this star destroyer from the 100 purple bricks I’d bought him.  He wants to send these pics to the Lego Kids Club magazine, in the hopes of getting featured on their Cool Creations page! 😉  Kendall was sporting her new pink Thomas t-shirt today–a little boy in her class noticed it immediately at drop-off!  He ran right over, pointing at her shirt, saying “Thomas, Thomas!”, even trying to give her a hug.  Kendall practically gave him a “talk to the hand” and this funny side-eye look, and skipped off!  The teachers and I all had a big laugh at that little sequence of events.

Brian, we hope your purple Lego creation gets printed in the magazine. Nice Thomas t-shirt and handprint, Kendall.
