Friday Night
Here are some Friday night photos for you! After school, Kendall and Brian played downstairs, doing their own thing for a bit–Kendall playing with the smiley-face balls, and Brian making another cool Lego creation.. Predictably this devolved into the two of them wrestling, with Kendall as the winner! Brian likes her to win (sensory seeking, we presume), and has taken to egging her on: “Kendall, squish me!” We saw that Sid the Science Kid is coming to town for a live show,...

Tonight we went out to dinner at Neo Asia with Grandpa Steve and Grandma Sue! They helped us out a lot by picking up the kids for us, and we all met up at the restaurant. We had a great visit and delicious dinner together, and the kids did well enough on their dinner to get an ice cream for dessert! I think that might have been their favorite part....

Tonight we felt like going out, even though it was a school night, and ended up at the Flying Biscuit cafe. I’ve been there a good number of times with work folks, but the rest of the fam hadn’t been before. Safe to say, it was a hit! Kendall really got into using her crayons while we waited. Also...

She and Brian were hamming it up this morning, both wearing her headbands (Kendall was both indignant and amused by Brian wearing one of her things!) Kendall still loves her lion, but orange “Kitty Cat” is also a popular friend these days. We are potty training now, and Kendall is pretty excited about her pull-ups!...

Lego Kids Fest is back in Raleigh! We didn’t think it would be back so soon–usually they don’t repeat cities, but I suppose the Fest was a big success here! I know we did our part when it was here last time, and today was no different. 😉 Like before, the Fest is about four hours of somewhat-controlled chaos, and never seems quite long enough. There were some new attractions this year, and Kendall got a lot more out of it this time! She enjoyed the Duplo piles quite a...
