The Lego Table!

Today we were happy to unveil a project we’d been working on for Brian–this Lego table!  I’d had this crazy idea, wouldn’t be cool if, we could make an interchangeable tabletop for the train table, that was entirely covered in Lego baseplates.  Brandon took that idea and ran with it, discovering that standard whiteboards are the exact same size as the train table top, and figuring out exactly how many baseplates it would take.  We collaborated with Brian to come up with the ultimate design, which includes some ocean, land, and roadways.  We surprised the kids with the finished product this afternoon, and they were pretty excited about it!  This should give them plenty of space for their creations–plus, they can flip it over to draw their own scenes on the whiteboard side.  Or simply remove it, to go back to train table mode.  I’m really happy with how it turned out, and it was fun, working on a project together.  Also, pictures of Kendall from breakfast and dinnertime, just because she’s so cute.
