Tonight we made the trek out to Zebulon for my grandmother’s 90th birthday! We usually wouldn’t be able to go out there on a school night, but as it turns out, Brian has a teacher workday tomorrow, on his birthday, no less! 🙂 What a lucky boy. Anyway, we picked up the kids and went straight to Rosemary’s and had a quick barbecue dinner before going to Grandmother’s. When we arrived, Maurice, Gwen, and Randy were playing music and sounding great! Kendall was a little shy at first, but being the music lover she is, eventually she couldn’t hold back and just had to dance! She and Brian both had some cool moves during “Margaritaville” which was pretty entertaining for everyone! Then, it was time for cake, and Brian (being very excited about his own birthday coming up) asked if he could blow out the candles! So funny. 🙂 Grandmother unwrapped her presents and cards, including a beautiful money tree that Miller made (with $90 inside!) <– Take notes, kids. 😀 As we were all packing up to go, Brian was interested in the instruments. Randy was super cool, taking the time to talk to him about the gear, and even let Brian try out his mandolin a little! I’m so glad we got to see everyone, it’s totally worth missing bedtime for special days like this. 🙂

Your Grandmother doesn’t look 90 years old. How are Maurice, Gwen and Randy related to the family? Beautifully decorated cake. Kendall and Brian are really moving to the Jimmy Buffet song.
Maurice is my mom’s older brother, and Gwen is his wife. As you know, Miller is my mom’s younger sister, and Randy is her husband. 🙂
