Today we were back at Root for a partial day to find out Brian’s teacher assignment and have a little orientation to his new classroom! When we arrived we were surprised to see a huge crowd of parents and kids crowded around the front door of the school–then, someone appeared and posted the assignment list! From the excitement, you’d think it was a list of who was starring in a Broadway play! Brian and I held back to avoid getting trampled (really!) and then made our way to the door. We saw Brian’s assignment–Mrs. Boswell! Yay! She’s a fantastic teacher who already knows and understands Brian well, and we think she’s a great fit for him. We headed to his classroom and he ran straight into her arms for the biggest hug! I think she is very happy to have him in her class. 🙂 We had our orientation, toured the classroom, Brian got a snack and a light-up keychain, and then we went to the cafeteria for ice pops! I bought him a Root t-shirt to celebrate the momentous occasion as well.
