It’s been a tough couple of days, since we discovered last Friday that Kendall wasn’t gaining weight as expected. But, with lots of help from our doctors and lactation consultants, we used alternative feeding methods to get her weight back up, and identified the issue as a posterior tongue tie, similar to Brian’s. We found a local ENT that could fix the problem, and had the procedure done yesterday. We’re all hopeful that this will be helpful for Kendall, both now and in the future!
At Kendall’s two-week checkup today, she is back up to eight pounds! Her head size is in the 98th percentile, and her height is in the 90th.
Kendall already has quite a personality, making all sorts of cute, expressive faces. She is pretty laid-back, and isn’t bothered by her noisy brother! She loves to snuggle and prefers to be held. She tolerates the bouncy seat, but not so much on the other baby-containment devices. She’s such a sweet baby girl! We are looking forward to getting to know her better.
