Have you ever had days that just ran together in one big blur? That’s this week for me. Not only did we have a (fairly pointless) snow day on Tuesday, and another (totally legit) one on Wednesday, we ended up with two more–yes, 4 out of 5 days this week, we were all stuck at home. Brandon and I have some flexibility in our jobs, but we did have to work from home during this time, so we managed it by trading kid-watching shifts every few hours. The kids were as good as one could hope, playing lots of Connect Four, Star Wars, and we even resorted to some video games when Kendall was napping. We did try to do a few educational things, like playing Bananagrams (it’s sort of like a more chaotic version of Scrabble with no board, and lower stakes.) 😉 (Edited to add: Bananagrams won some toy awards, and now the creators are capitalizing on their success by creating other fruit-themed games. Brian saw them at Barnes & Noble and informed me he wants the other two: Appletters and Pairsinpears.) I was also a sick this week with a wicked sinus infection, so really, we were mostly just getting by. The roads were pretty much good by lunchtime today, so Brian did get a trip to the Lego Store, and he and Brandon got out this evening for the hockey game.

Hospital workers never had a snow day so I always felt slighted that I had to go to work and everyone else was home. Home is the best place to be on a cold snowy day.
