Ohhh, the big day is here! The Lego movie is out today, and Brian just had to see it on opening night. He’s been talking about February 7th for months now, and Brandon and I just couldn’t say no.. So, we gave up our date night in order to take Brian out to the movie with just us, and Kendall stayed at Goddard for the pizza party (parent night out). He was pretty excited to have us to himself, and no little sister drama to distract from the movie experience! The movie really was worth all the hype, it was so much fun, and probably one of the best kid movies we’ve ever seen. Brian loved it, especially seeing some of his favorite gags from the teaser trailer and the theatrical trailer! We must have watched those a hundred times. As the credits rolled, Brandon and I were like this:
We are so going to end up buying all of the Lego Movie-themed Lego sets…! We got dinner at the Flying Burrito, and Brian thought the colors of the guacamole, chips, and salsa made a stoplight–he was so taken with the idea, he just had to draw a picture of it as soon as we got home! Brian had one more surprise, I had picked up some Lego Movie books for him! It was a really great evening–everything is awesome!!
