Okay, we are all completely, totally, and utterly over the snow. I’m hoping we’re done with it for the year. Today we mostly spent the day at home, just playing with the kids. Kendall reclaimed Chili Bean for herself today–she really likes him! I tried giving her pigtails–she’s so cute with them! Not easy to do with a wiggly little girl, but it just looks so typically two years old. 🙂 We braved leaving the house for dinner, mostly just out of desperation–we ended up at Vincent’s and had a nice Italian meal while Brian could catch some Winter Olympics on the big screen. When we got home, the kids had some serious wiggles still, so we put on some fun videos for them to dance to. At bath time, we surprised the kids with replacement squirt guns–Brian’s beloved shark squirt gun had finally gotten broken, and I’d found it was part of a set of 12 from Oriental Trading. More than we need, but hey, they’re fun. Kendall likes the dolphin and the hammerhead shark. After bath, the kids discovered accidentally that one of their Reese’s plush toys from yesterday actually plays a “song”–Brandon was mortified that he had unwittingly brought such a thing into our home. Of course the kids loved it, and the more he was bugged by it, the more they liked it! Hilarious video follows below. Honestly, y’all, I have no idea how that particular piece of modern day poetry made it through marketing meetings, recording sessions, prototypes, focus groups, the whole nine, without somebody saying “No. This is just awful.” 😉 It’s weapons-grade annoying–consider yourselves warned! We watched the videos. I liked the Legos video especially Santa spinning on his head and the upside down bat. I am sure I missed so much on the video that was funny.
