Today we did a bit of spring cleaning and organizing. I repacked some winter gear, after having realized a space bag had sprung a leak and gotten stuck in a drawer. In the process, pulled out a bunch of things I’d knitted years ago, most of which the kids had never seen. They seemed to like my gaudy creations quite a bit! Kendall really liked the Hello Kitty hat and a soft pink scarf, and Brian liked a colorful fair isle hat and a really crazy poncho. It was just warm enough to blow some bubbles on the porch–we did a little of that and the kids enjoyed it, although Kendall got pretty frustrated once she realized she couldn’t blow bubbles as reliably as Brian! We rewarded the kids for their patience dealing with us while we cleaned and organized by letting them make some pink lemonade cookies! They enjoyed mixing up the dough and using the scoop to make evenly-sized cookies.
