We may be back from the beach, but we’re still on spring break! Today we decided to enjoy the nice weather and take the kids to Laurel Hills park to play. We had picked up a pair of Hello Kitty walkie-talkies at the beach, which Kendall spotted in the Best Buy. We let the kids play with them at the park, even though they’re a bit noisy, and don’t work all that well! Walkie-talkie hide-and-seek was a fun game, and some of the other kids wanted to get in on the action. Brian made a new friend who joined his team. 🙂 While hiding and seeking, we saw a painting of Snoopy and Woodstock hidden in the wooden play structure that we’d never noticed before, in all these years! The kids enjoyed playing basketball, with Kendall getting some Daddy-assisted dunking in. We had a quick beverage break up at the picnic shelter, and Brian saw some of his friends from the after-school program, who were here for the spring break day camp. He introduced Kendall to his friends, and she sat right down with the big kids at their table. We picked up some Roly Poly sandwiches on the way home, and had our lunch outside. Later this evening, we made quesadillas for dinner, but I think Kendall mostly was into the sour cream (literally!) Brian had made a boat out of found materials this afternoon, and we let him try it out during bathtime. It mostly floated! 😉
