Double Egg Hunt Saturday

Ohh, today was another super busy Saturday!  We started off bright and early at Brian’s last swimming lesson!  He’s completed the full series at Rex now.  It was a beautiful morning, and I really enjoyed the cherry blossoms outside the wellness center.  They were so beautiful in the sunlight.  Brandon and Kendall caught up with us after the lesson, and together we all headed over to Laurel Hills for the Easter egg hunt there.  It was a nice one, with lots of games and such for the kids, plus a nice spread of breakfast snacks.  When it was time for the hunt, we all headed behind the community center and and the kids went nuts collecting eggs.   After that, we headed downtown for the big downtown Raleigh egg hunt!  Both kids got to participate (they do different hunts by age) and we enjoyed walking around the mall some.  Nobody lost their balloon this time, and nobody got lost, which made me feel a lot better about it than last year. 😉  Afterward, we picked up some Easter-themed cupcakes from the cupcake shoppe, and went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe for lunch.  Back at home, the kids opened up their eggs, and catalogued all the random prizes they got.  There’s not so much candy in Easter eggs these days, it’s mostly stickers, tattoos, and inexplicable cheap plastic toys.  They made some pictures with the stamps and stickers they got, and put on a lot of tattoos.  They even put a bunch of glittery Easter tattoos on me, which evidently was a real hoot for them!  I was secretly glad that the cheap things came right off.  😉
