Egg Coloring

Tomorrow is Easter, so that means today is egg coloring day!  Kendall was able to participate this year, and she really enjoyed it!  We did some traditional coloring, and some iridescent shimmery sort of eggs as well–those were particularly messy (and sort of stinky!) so I don’t think we’ll do those again.  Brian came up with some interesting coloring techniques this year, and Kendall seemed to just enjoy everything about the process.  The kids played with Legos a lot, and made some Easter-themed sticker pictures as well.  Tonight we had a movie night with Brian’s favorite, a party tray, for dinner.  The kids had some strawberry Pocky for dessert–well, mostly Kendall!  She’s a big fan. 😉   For anyone who doesn’t believe that the kids get crazy after some sugar, there’s video evidence of them being completely wild after dinner.  Kendall is pretending to be one of the Hurricanes, skating around and around the ice, and Brian is quoting Gangnam Style and a few lines from Monsters University and The Empire Strikes out.  (Kendall was talking about it a lot more before I turned the camera on, and of course, prompting her to say it again doesn’t usually work.)  😉  Still very active after bath, there’s video of Kendall singing along to a song about the moon in one of the Japanese board books I brought back from Japan years ago.  She doesn’t know she’s singing in Japanese, of course, but it’s certainly cute!  Brandon and I helped out with the Easter Bunny’s work after the kids went to bed–I’m sure they will have an awesome surprise in the morning! 🙂
