Happy Easter! We sure had an awesome one. We started off the day with the kids getting their Easter baskets and presents, and they were so surprised! We had collected a number of really cool presents for them, including a Lego Star Wars Battle of Hoth game that wasn’t even release in the US. Brian liked his Lego City game so much, and since Empire is one of his favorite Star Wars movies, I knew he just had to have it. Kendall got the Duplo Cinderella Castle that she liked so much back at Lego Kids Fest, and a Little Mermaid set as well. She was pretty excited about those! We had to get into the Little Mermaid one right away. Brian got some Galactic Heroes playsets with some of his favorite Star Wars characters, including the Cantina Band. Of course they didn’t include all five members in the boxed set, but I wasn’t deterred by that–I tracked down the last member and had him in an Easter egg there in Brian’s basket. We made a Butter Braid for breakfast, and let the kids play with their new toys until it was lunchtime. We had to wrap it up temporarily, since we were going to meet Grandpa Steve and Grandma Sue at Wakefield for Easter Brunch. Wow, that was a very special affair! We had an amazing buffet lunch, and I’m surprised they didn’t have to roll Brandon and myself out of there, we had so much awesome food. The kids enjoyed all the variety, especially all of the fruit, breakfast items, and treats, and they both ate very well. They got to meet the Easter Bunny and get a few more Easter Eggs. All in all, an excellent time was had by all. After our brunch we planned to meet Steve and Sue back at their place, but on the way, the kids just begged and begged to visit their neighborhood playground. We couldn’t resist, and we let them play for a little while! They had a great time with the swings, slides, play structure, and Brian just owned the monkey bars! I was so proud of him when he made it all the way across for the first time ever! Soon, we were off to Grandpa and Grandma’s house, and we had a nice visit, and the kids got even more presents! They really racked up this year! Of course that’s not the point, but it’s just so much fun to spoil them, isn’t it? 😉

What a great Easter. That was pretty impressive Brian seeing you get across the monkey bars. Kendall looks stunning as usual in her Easter dress.
