Lemurs!

Woo!  Vacation week.  Brian doesn’t have camp this week, Brandon and I have the week off, and we’re heading to the beach for July 4th.  But, Kendall still had school today, and we knew she wouldn’t want to miss the Kinder Kixx soccer event!  So we decided to do something special with Brian, and took him to the IMAX theater at Marbles to see the Island of Lemurs movie.  I’d been wanting to see this one for awhile, so I was really glad to go.  Brian doesn’t like 3D movies, but he decided to give this one a try.  It was really quite good, and we were all glad we got to see it.  Afterward, we had hoped to go to Marbles, but, because it was a Monday (and a holiday week) the kids’ museum part had closed by the time we got out of the movie.  Brian was sorely disappointed, and a good morning nearly turned bad..  But we distracted him by going to look at the big sand castle in the park across the street, getting lunch at Pogo, and checking out some of the flowers in Marbles’ garden.  Back at home, Brian played with Legos and set up a battle (this is a something he enjoys doing a lot now–making some Lego creations, setting up a scene, and best of all, playing out the drama with one of us!)
