Reading Class

This morning, Brian had another reading class at NC State!  He’s really doing quite well with his reading.  I’m sure he’ll be in a great spot to start first grade.  Today, during the break, he made a fold-up book for Kendall, all about teaching her about colors.  What a thoughtful big brother!  Back at home, we played with toys, and started building two new Star Wars models, the Clone Wars-era Jedi Starfighters belonging to Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi.  Brian has some amount of patience for these sorts of things, but Brandon and I helped him out with the boring parts, like sanding down the edges.  When he wanted a break, he played “I’m a camel!” which is where he gets Kendall to ride on his back around the room!  The viking helmets are a hit with both kids, and they love staging mock battles, wearing them as they use their swords and shields.  The kids are loving their Berk Island playset in the bathtub!  Especially now that we’ve added some more dragons. 😉

That is a nice photo of Brian standing by the fountain. Wonderful Brian can take a reading class during the summer.
