Today was Brian’s last day of Lego camp, and his last day of summer camps, period! He was hiding under the table when we came to pick him up, but he got to make and keep a minifigure, so that made saying goodbye a little easier. 😉 This morning before camp, we took Brian over to Root for Meet the Teacher day, where we all got to meet his new teacher, Mrs. Hounwanou. She’s new to Root, coming here all the way from Kansas City. She seems very nice, and we had a great talk with her about Brian and his needs. Brian really liked exploring his new classroom, and completing the scavenger hunt his teacher had prepared for the kids to do! He was really amazed to see all the new things in the KinderGarden that had happened since the groundbreaking ceremony. There are so many new plants, shrubs, and trees! Even a few blueberry bushes, that had blueberries on them. Brian had some time for a little Play-Doh fun after camp, and then it was off to Goddard School for parent night out! The kids had their pizza parties, and we celebrated surviving the summer by going to The Melting Pot. 🙂 Brian was happy he got to spend some time with his good buddy Ty, and Kendall enjoyed playing in the preschool room. She was very proud of those purple letter K popsicles!

We have never been to the Melting Pot downtown but folks I worked with said that it was good. Brian, hope you like your school. Kendall, I saw the K popsicles.
