Root Open House

The kids were so excited by the garbage truck this morning!  Brian always loved watching it when he was a tiny little guy, and now both of them run to the windows when the truck comes.  Tonight, I went to the Open House at Root, attended the PTA meeting, talked with Brian’s teacher, saw some of Brian’s work, met some of the other moms, and signed up for some volunteer activities.  I liked his picture he made about his feet!  I had a surprise for him when I got home–a Dragon-themed fold-out kid size couch!  He loved all the detail, and multiple different designs all over.  It looked like something he’d really love, and what sealed the deal for me was when he set up his special place with the couch cushions.  Not that I minded him using the cushions, but I thought he would really like a portable, fun, piece of furniture just for him.  Well, him and Kendall.  Of course they’re going to have to share, like it or not! 😉
