Today was a busy day! We started off with some yummy Star Wars pancakes, and then headed off to the Museum of Life+Science in Durham for the Pumpkin Patch Express! For this event, the museum staff sets up lots of fun games and activities in the woods, at the far end of the train loop. The kids enjoyed choosing pumpkins, decorating with Halloween-themed foam stickers, making pumpkin decorations with pony beads and pipe cleaners, and all the games! Brian loved the pumpkin slingshot the most, and Kendall loved the witch-hat ring toss (but she liked collecting all of the rings for herself!) They enjoyed playing at the museum playground as well. I’m heading out to Las Vegas for a conference tomorrow, so I got my nails done (Red Hat red, of course!) Brian made me a heartwrenching “I Will Miss You Card” and some other items to take along on my trip. Brandon had a surprise for the kids–he’d put up the LED ribbon lights in their “clubhouse” (the alcove under the stairs in the garage). They loved the remote control that lets them change the lights to any color of the rainbow! I had a surprise for each of them as well–a customized Hello Kitty Halloween book for Kendall, and a cool Book of Dragons book for Brian!

We enjoyed watching the day’s activities on the video, especially Brian carefully setting up the bowling pins and Kendall bowling. Beautiful day
