Today was a busy one! We started out early with the kids waking us up to go and watch a squirrel in a tree outside our bathroom window (the height of excitement, truly). Nana Rosemary came by this morning for some more baking, and this time we made red velvet cupcakes! The kids made some more holiday crafts (I keep a lot of options on hand to keep them busy!) In the afternoon we went to Spring Arbor for Granny Jo’s birthday. She seemed happy to see us, and we all enjoyed the delicious chocolate cake! The kids loved getting some party beads to wear like Granny’s. Tonight the boys went out to a hockey game, and Brian came home with a foam hat that Kendall might be a little jealous of (place your bets on how long that’ll last, folks!) And, he picked out a set of toy sticks and pucks that he really wants Santa to know about… 😉
