Gahhh! Just when we thought we were done with winter weather, it’s back with a vengeance. Everyone was home again today, as we waited for the big flakes to start falling. And, fall they did–once they got going, we ended up with a pretty significant amount of snow (on top of the re-frozen slushy mess from the last round!) We kept busy with more origami, baking a loaf of lemon bread, Play-Doh, and Duplos–oh, what we built with Duplos..! The kids made all sorts of things, but at some point in the late afternoon, we started building one large crazy castle together. I think the goal was simply to use all the bricks we could, and the result was pretty amazing! Plenty of fun activities like swings, slides, crazy stairs, hidden towers, etc. for all of the Duplo people were included in the castle, although I noticed that Cinderella and Ariel had ditched their princess skirts and absconded in the Zoo Plane.

The weather looks like the snow storms we get in Colorado. Amazing castle!
