I give up! Let’s try to work again in March, maybe, because we’re home again for yet another snow day. Fully half of February has been a wash, thanks to various disappointing forms of frozen water and related school closures. We’re all a little stir crazy, but did the best we could, staying busy with the giant Duplo castle, board games, lots of ponies on TV, and the hot cocoa flowed freely.. I even tried to get back in Kendall’s good graces by giving her a present–little pony figures from her very favorite My Little Pony episode, “Baby Cakes” (in which Pinkie Pie learns about responsibility, as she babysits the Cake Family’s newborn twins, Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake. Featuring guest appearances by Nurse Redheart, and proud-yet-frazzled new parents, Cup Cake and Carrot Cake. Shall I quote the script, word for word? Because I can.) 😉 We did get in a little bit more playtime in the snow today, although the snow was melting pretty fast. It still didn’t want to stick, so we had to settle for a snowpile snow guy, and I made some smaller items (like a Japanese-style snow bunny with leaves for ears).
