Happy 4th of July! The kids had a second round of fun with the kiddie pool in the backyard today. Again it wasn’t quite as sunny or warm as we probably would have liked, but the kids still had a good time. This evening we packed up some snacks and a pile of glow sticks and headed to the parking deck at Red Hat Tower to see the downtown fireworks. We were comfortable “tailgating” in the back of the van as we waited for sunset, and our folding lawn chairs were great seats for the show. The kids go crazy for glow sticks, and Brian loved his glow sword, and Kendall her pink glow wand. Kendall even brought her fairy princess duckie, her favorite prize from her trip to Chapel Hill helping out the scientists. 🙂
