Brian was really rocking out to one of his current favorite songs, “Sandstorm“, in the car today. The song is older than him, but, he loves it! My first memory of this song is from what passed for my bachelorette party. Some girls and I were at a place sort of like a Dave & Buster’s, with food and lots of video games, but it had a small dancefloor as well. The music was awful, and we mostly stood around rolling our eyes at the lameness of the tunes and the clientele. My friend Kim decided to take matters into her own hands, strode up to the DJ booth, and after some animated conversation, came running back to us yelling “This one’s for you! It’s for you, Alison, it’s YOUR SONG! I did that, I made him play that, just for YOU!” I was confused, I hadn’t heard the song before, but I wasn’t going to tell Kim that, especially since she was so proud of herself for arguing it onto the playlist! I quickly decided I liked it, and we all danced together for the one decent song of the night. 🙂 Anyway.. Back to the present. It’s pajama day for Kendall, and she was very excited to wear her fancy new Frozen nightgown! She couldn’t wait to get to school in it. 🙂
