After a nerve-wracking and stressful exam location snafu on Wednesday (basically the site was closed unexpectedly, with no notification to us test-takers), today I finally got to take my GSEC exam. I’d been studying hard, and it paid off! I got a score of 99%, good enough to be invited to join the SANS Advisory Board. Nice! My director says I will get a nice wooden plaque as well. 🙂 I’m glad I have a security certification now, to go along with my Red Hat and Splunk certs. Tonight was Parent Night Out, so that was a nice way to celebrate! Brandon and I had a laugh about this ridiculous pumpkin spice candy corn, which someone brought into the office (and nobody is taking it)! We had a great seafood dinner and a chocolate mousse cake for dessert. 🙂
