Today was a teacher workday for Brian, and lucky for everyone, Nana Rosemary was available to watch him, so Brandon and I could both go to work! She and Brian made a surprise cake for me, cutting a pound cake into a heart shape, adding orange and yellow surprise frosting inside, chocolate frosting outside, and Brian’s craaaazy decorations, making it into a happy heart face. He also made a big “Surprise!” sign to go with it. Thanks Brian (and Mom!) 🙂 Later tonight, I noticed a distinct odor, and it seems one of the pumpkins the kids made at the Pumpkin Patch Express had turned..! I salvaged some decorations as I could, and took some last-minute photos of the rest, before they go to that great gourd playground in the sky. Tonight, Kendall asked about her Halloween black kitty, which I quickly located. She was so happy to see this cat again! I don’t think black kitty will get put away after Halloween this year. She says that black kitty and orange kitty cat are best friends and want to stay together. 🙂 Also, because I’m just a tiny bit proud of myself, a photo of my chat session with my boss’s boss, when I told him about my high GSEC score. 😀
