Kendall’s Car Seat, Brian’s Mohawk

Well, we finally did it–we’ve turned Kendall’s car seats around to be forward-facing!  She’s definitely a big girl now, riding in style.  🙂  I think she really likes being able to see what’s going on, and interact with us some more.  They changed the safety rules since Brian came along, and now the experts encourage rear-facing for a lot longer than they used to.  But, she’s well within the size range, and she was seeming pretty uncomfortable with her legs bunched up!  So, it was time.

Brian drew a cool ocean scene this morning–there’s a big whale, and a little crab in the corner.  He assured us that it was a nice crab, and not pinchy.  Brandon and I toured a kindergarten this morning at Brian’s assigned base school.  We didn’t dislike it, and there were a lot of great things about it..  But it’s not Root.  We’re hoping to get through the appeal process and get him reassigned to Root for next year, but, if it doesn’t work out, we’re glad to know that our base school also has a lot to offer.

Tonight, Brian had an awesome bathtub mohawk, which he really wanted to share.  So here he is looking like one of the dudes from the band GBH.  😀  My friends and I used to joke that it stood for Great Big Haircuts since they had the tallest mohawks in punk rock, maybe for Brian it can be Great Bathtub Hairstyles?  😉

Kendall looks so happy as a front-facing rider! What a big girl! Brian’s ocean picture is great and his mohawk is very cool! 😀

Cute mohawk, Brian. I liked the little crab in the corner of ocean painting. When Grandpa and I toured the Vatican there was a huge painting on the wall and in the bottom corner was a snake -your painting reminded me of that. Congratulations, Kendall can sit facing forward.
