The Big Box

As many of you know, we really depend on Amazon Prime and Subscribe and Save around here, for everything from diapers to coffee to garbage bags.  We got a really big delivery this month, and the box it came in was enormous!  I thought the kids would enjoy playing in it, and of course they did.  Brian did some drawing on it, and the kids loved climbing in and out, with the box vertical and horizontal.  You might not think and five-year-old and a one-year-old would play so well together, but a cool big box is fun for all ages!

Some other random shots of Kendall and her favorite things of late:  her Lego Duplo baby, easily her favorite piece in the millions of Duplos taking over our house.  She adores this little baby (although she does chew on his head sometimes), and she can always find it, no matter where we stash it in the multiple Lego boxes and drawers.   Another favorite lately is a set of six plastic bangle bracelets I picked up at Carter’s.  The day I brought them home, she went wild putting them on and taking them off, over and over again!  She was so funny showing them off with her fancy fashion diva faces.  I wish I’d taken some pictures that night!  Brian kept trying to play hockey with them, which she didn’t appreciate too much!  Today I thought I’d blow her mind a little and put one on her foot.  She looked at me like I was crazy at first, but then decided this was happening.  She was so tenacious trying to put those bracelets on her feet, all the way onto her ankles–and she did it, too!  Also, this cookie match game, she can’t get enough of that.  I don’t think she’s had real Oreos yet, but when she does, I bet she’ll just have to look inside..  I hope she won’t be disappointed that there aren’t shapes to match in there.  🙂

Also today we decided to go to Kanki–they were having a Carolina Hurricanes “on a roll” special due to the ‘Canes winning two in a row, so we got a free Hurricane Roll with our dinner.  The kids had fun, Brian enjoyed the show, and Kendall doesn’t get nearly as concerned about noise and surprises as somebody else did when he was her age..  😉
