Hearts!

Kendall noticed the Valentine’s day doll I’d picked up for her this morning!  I’d put it on her bookshelf awhile ago, and waited to see when she’d find it.  Today was the day, and she was SO happy!  Kendall does this adorable happy gasp (I can’t really describe it!) and this morning’s was truly spectacular when she spotted her present.  She squealed and dove for it, gave it a big hug, chewed on it a bit (hey, she’s one!) and just celebrated with the unbridled joy that only a baby can express.  I had no idea it would get such a big reaction, but I was happy she liked it so much!  She wouldn’t put her new doll down for anything, so we ended up letting her take her new friend to school.  Brian was pretty amused about it all!  After school, we kept the pre-Valentine’s celebrations going by baking some heart cookies.  Brian liked watching them puff up in the oven and seeing the hearts in the middle “grow”.  Kendall was mostly interested in eating them!  Brian liked her outfit today, the “I love my family” onesie has four animals on it in various sizes, so he was telling me who the Daddy, Mommy, Big Brother, and Little Sister are, just like in our family.
