Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Today we continued the celebrations.  The kids both had parties at school, and Brandon was able to make it to Brian’s party!  Brian and his friends enjoyed some snacks together, and Brandon was pleased to report that Brian mostly chose fruit as his treat–well, fruit, and some Oreos to go with it.  😉  Then, the kids played a heart scavenger hunt game, where the ran around to collect hearts from all around the classroom!  Brian used his hearts to make us a card with four hearts on it, for our family of four!  What a sweet kid.  🙂  Unfortunately, I was unable to get away from work, and Kendall’s party was over by the time Brandon and Brian got back to Goddard from Root, so we weren’t able to get any photos from her party.  Kendall wore another cute Valentine’s day outfit, but, somehow, I managed to not get a single photo of it!  🙁  This morning was a little chaotic, and Kendall was wearing different clothes when she came home (I guess her party was a wild one?  🙂 )  We’ll try to get some pictures of her in it another day, hopefully before she grows out of it.  🙂  Brian and Kendall both brought home piles of Valentine cards (and even some candy!)  After school, we had a quick dinner together, and then the boys were off to a hockey game!  Brian got a special treat of some cotton candy–is that big grin from the sugar, or the excitement of the game?  😉  I enjoyed a girls’ night at home with Kendall, and presented her with a little bear.  It has a sweet pink and green rosebud pattern on it, and it matches the white bear with blue stars that Brian had when he was a baby.  She just loved it, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to get her to put it down for bathtime.  She surprised me by showing off her newfound ability to stand up on her own!  (We’re still waiting for her to take off walking on her own, but, this is a great “step” forward in its own right!)

I love Brian’s “family” valentine and his cotton candy grin! Randy and I both think that photo 23 of Kendall is just too cute for words!!! 😀

I like photo 23 of Kendall, too with her curly hair. Tell Brian I used to like cotton candy when I was a little girl – about the only time we could have it was at the Richland county fair in September.
