Just another Saturday at the Perkins’ house. 🙂 This morning, the whole crew joined Brian for his Lowes Build and Grow event, where he made a cool green monster truck! I’m so impressed with how independent he is with most of the building instructions. Kendall found watching the building mildly interesting, but she was much more keen on trying to escape on her own, and visit the other families who were there working together! After our building session, we got smoothies for the whole family. Kendall had her own, and boy, was it a hit! I’m sure our neighborhood smoothie guy is super happy we’re raising another fruit fiend. 🙂 We spent the afternoon playing at home together, playing with toys, drawing, reading, etc… This evening the boys headed off to the hockey game, and us girls had a fun evening at home together. Kendall is loving our new piano, and isn’t satisfied with just pulling up and banging on the keys. She insists upon sitting on the bench properly, by herself even! She tries out all the different sounds, invariably adjusts the volume to LOUD, and she’s even learned how to layer two sounds (I’ve got no idea how she does it, Mommy needs to read the manual!) At bathtime, Kendall wowed me with her stacking/nesting abilities as usual, she’s so proud of herself when she gets it! Brian got a cool flag at the game, and he’s very proud of it. He’s got it hanging up in his room now!
