Today was really busy! It started off with Brian going to another Lowes Build and Grow events, where he built a monster truck! While at the Lowes, Brian really wanted to get some flowers to take home, and Brandon said that would be okay. He picked out a red geranium, some yellow and red pansies, and a pink gerbera daisy. Once they got home, we all went outside to enjoy the sunny day and plant the flowers in some of our containers! We might have some frosty mornings yet, so this way, we can bring them inside if we need to. We also found some seed packets, so we tried planting those as well. Kendall enjoyed toddling around outside, and Brian and Mommy did most of the dirty work! Daddy enjoyed the opportunity to get a lot of cardboard ready to recycle. We got everything planted and watered, and Brian did some of his signature photography. After a brief nap for Kendall, we decided to have an outing of strolling and biking on the greenway, and after that, we went to our favorite neighborhood Laurel Hills park. Kendall enjoyed the swings, playing in the sand, and rolling the basketball with Daddy, while Brian jumped right into a basketball game with some big kids! I’m so proud, sometimes his blossoming social skills just blow me away. Brian had such a blast playing basketball and counting how many baskets he made, he didn’t want to leave, but once it started getting dark (and chilly!) we had to head home. I guess both of the kids have a touch of March Madness, as Kendall is just obsessed with basketballs and trying so hard to play with Brian’s over-the-door basketball hoop. She loves it when Daddy helps her dunk!
