We spent today just being lazy and relaxing at home! We played a lot of Legos, and Brian wanted me to take pictures of his rainbow pattern. 🙂 I said we could go ahead an open up one of Kendall’s Easter presents, a big box of Lego Duplos with a safari theme. (I know, we have way too many Duplos already, but they are so cute! She loved these new animals at the Kids Fest and we just had to get them.) I tried to not freak out too bad over losing the past week of pictures from the memory card going bad in our camera, but, it is a pretty heavy loss to me. There were so many great ones of us playing outside having the egg hunt in the backyard yesterday! And so many of Brian decorating the Easter eggs. At least I’d taken a few with my phone. I’ve overnighted a new memory card so we should have that soon. There’s not much else I can do at this point. Brandon could tell how upset I was, and I think that’s why he suggested we have some takeout sushi for a fun dinner. 🙂 Brian thought Kendall should have the heart-shaped sushi on her Hello Kitty plate–cuteness overflow! Kendall wasn’t able to manage eating it delicately, but she appeared to enjoy it!

I like your Lego rainbow, Brian. Grandpa and Grandma Cheryl have not developed a taste for sushi, yet. Kendall seems happy to eat sushi off her Hello Kitty dinner plate.
I think it is good to expose children to a wide variety of ethnic foods. Roger and I discussed this once – except for bowling alley pizza (Italian) we only ate American farm-style food (meat and potatoes) until we left home. We probably never had a taco until we were 18 years old. I remember visiting my sister, Helen Marie in Milwaukee where she was in college and we went to a Chinese restaurant and I loved it – all new tastes and wonderful tea.
