Brian’s Solar System

Just a quick brag post–check out Brian’s solar system!  His preschool class all made construction paper solar systems and displayed them outside the classroom, and I’m not exaggerating to say that Brian’s was far and away the very best one.  I would have been hard pressed to identify any of the others as a solar system at all, but Brian’s details, like rings around Saturn and Uranus, dwarf planets, land and ocean on Earth, and especially the asteroid belt, just blew me away!  His teachers were suitably impressed as well, and commented on how Brian said it just wouldn’t be complete without an asteroid belt.  🙂   It’s tricky for preschoolers to even cut out circles, so for him to make the sun and all those planets, in pretty accurate colors, and in order..!  Wow.   🙂  We’ll work on relative scale later, but for now, I’m the proudest mom in the preschool!
