Today we had a birthday party for Brian’s friend Morgan at Pump It Up. We brought the whole family, since thought it would be reasonably safe for Kendall, even if she didn’t get in the inflatables.. Well, we underestimated how safe the place would be from her! She tore around the place even more than some of the big kids, and it was a major challenge keeping up with her! It wasn’t that long ago that we were just wishing she would walk! 🙂 We found some foam wedges she could slide down, and that was a huge hit–we practically had to pry her off of them. Brian enjoyed bouncing, of course, and his perennial favorite party game, air hockey. He was a good sport and let the other kids take turns, but he challenged everyone to a match and would take all comers! All the kids loved getting applesauce as soon as they got into the party room (good call, Morgan’s Mom!) since they could immediately have a snack and not have to wait for cake. Afterward, the kids still had some energy, and Brandon wanted to visit the airport park, so we enjoyed one of the few nicer days of this very cold spring by playing in the big sandbox. We made a heart with a B and a K in it for the kids, and Brian was so taken with it, he decided to make his own with an M and D inside (for Mommy and Daddy). 🙂
